The use of lacquer for the glaze gives them a unique texture and coloring. The glaze is poured and pasted together to create one-of-a-kind vessels that have an everyday, yet artistic look.
The pottery is very impressive and fresh, with a unique world of form, texture, and use of color.
Pieces are finished with a final coat of lacquer.
The lacquer is applied thinly and diluted, and then removed with boiling water before it dries.
By doing so, the lacquer soaked into the fine irregularities of the clay and the penetrations of the glaze remain, giving the piece a slightly aged look.
